A former NFL lineman with a ten-month-old undefeated streak walked into the Georgia Dome, went through Scott Hall and then Hollywood Hogan in the same night, and won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in front of 41,412 fans, a match so big that WCW gave it away for free on Nitro instead of saving it for pay-per-view.

Kevin Nash won a sixty-man battle royal to earn a WCW World Heavyweight Championship match against Goldberg, then beat him at Starrcade after Scott Hall tased him at ringside, ending a 173-match undefeated streak in a finish Nash had a hand in writing himself; nine days later WCW gave the title right back to Hollywood Hogan with a finger poke.
